There are a number of different types of diabetes, some of which are more prevalent than others. It is equally important to stay informed on all types of diabetes. Let’s learn about them one by one.
What is prediabetes?
Prediabetes is state in which the person’s blood sugar level is higher than normal level but not high enough to confirm a diagnosis of diabetes. Prediabetes not only indicates a high risk of diabetes but also the onset of heart or blood vessel diseases. Many people with prediabetes can develop type 2 diabetes over a span of 10 years, however, following a balanced diet, appropriate physical activity, and maintaining healthy weight, they can delay or prevent the progression.
