Mushrooms in diabetic diet
Mushrooms are very high in vitamins B, vitamin D, potassium, and selenium, which is a strong antioxidant. The fiber of mushrooms is known to improve ‘insulin resistance ’helping the body to process sugars better. The high content of nutrition and fiber makes mushrooms the ideal diet for diabetic patients.
The most delicious and commonly used edible mushroom in India is the white button mushroom. Shitake and oyster mushrooms are also easily available.
