Adhesive Capsulitis:

It is a condition characterized by a stiff and painful shoulder. It is sometimes referred to as a frozen shoulder. The reasons for this condition is generally uncertain. The symptoms of an adhesive capsulitis include reduced mobility of the arm and the shoulder, shoulder pain, and difficulty in performing daily activities. People with diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and heart diseases are more prone to have this condition. Diagnosis is made by clinical basis, imaging including radiography, and based upon preexisting conditions. Treatment for this condition includes anti-inflammatories, corticosteroidal injections, capsular distension injections, surgery, and optimal diabetes control.
