Dr. Sandeep Rai practices as Senior Consultant Diabetologist at  the Apollo Hospital, Sugar Clinic, Navi Mumbai, and has over 30 years of Experience in treating Diabetes patients. He was earlier working as Consultant Physician at the reputed Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He is also In charge of the Advanced Centre of Diabetes Care & Research at MGM. He is presently also the Unit Head and Senior Professor in Post Graduate Department of Medicine and Heading the Division of Diabetology at the Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences, which is a 1000 bedded, state of art, tertiary health care Hospital in Navi Mumba He is National Board certified Medical Specialist (Diplomate of National Board), Member of National Academy of Medical Science and is also attached as Consultant Physician & Diabetologist in other prestigious Hospitals including, MGM New Bombay Hospital, Vashi&  Reliance Hospital. He has been an Guest Faculty in Mayo Clinic (USA), Diabetes Symposiums for many years and the Cleveland Clinic (USA) advanced Diabetes courses. He is also a visiting faculty to the prestigious Guys Hospital London which is attached to Kings College London. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians UK (FRCP), Membership American College of Physicians, and Fellowship of Diabetes India & International Membership of American College of Cardiology.

He is a Key Note International Speaker in Global Health conferences sponsored by United Nations, World Health Organization. He is invited National Speaker & Chairman in many prestigious National Conferences including National Diabetes Conference (RSSDI), National Physician Conference (APICON) , World Congress of Cardio Metabolic Medicine, World Congress of Integrated Medicines, International Diabetes Summit & World Congress of Diabetology. He has written Chapters in the widely read Text Book’” Medicine Update “& RSSDI “Diabetes UpDate” Progress in Medicine”, “Perspectives in Diabetes” & also written articles on Diabetes for many National News Papers.
