Body Odor:

Body odor is the odor caused when the sweat of the body comes in contact with the bacteria on the skin. As such, the sweat of the body does not have any odor, but when it comes in contact with the bacteria of the skin and reacts, it is known to produce the body odor. When the bacteria that lives on the skin breaks down certain proteins into acids, it produces the bad odor. It is known that people who have reached puberty, people who eat spicy foods, and people with certain medical conditions like diabetes are prone to have body odor. Moreover, people who sweat constantly also have bad odor. Normally, body odor is treated with deodorants, good hygiene, and antiperspirants. Some people with diabetes tend to have excess body odor. This is caused due to high blood sugar levels and the long term complications of diabetes. High ketone levels (including acetone), periodontal diseases, and certain medications of diabetes like metformin cause bad odor.
