People with diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and heart diseases are more prone to have this condition. Diagnosis is made by clinical basis, imaging including radiography, and based upon preexisting conditions. Treatment for this condition includes anti-inflammatories, corticosteroidal injections, capsular distension injections, surgery, and optimal diabetes control.
